Tim Reynolds is a sportswriter who joined The Associated Press in 2002. While living in South Florida, he began reporting on the Miami Heat in 2003 and now is the AP’s national NBA writer.

The Paris Games in 2024 were his 12th consecutive Olympics. He primarily covers sliding sports – luge, skeleton and bobsled – in the Winter Games and basketball during the Summer Games.

He has also reported on several Super Bowls, the Stanley Cup Final, the NBA Finals, the World Series, the Masters, college football’s championship games, Lionel Messi’s tenure in Major League Soccer and the Basketball World Cup.

He previously reported for the Times Union in Albany, N.Y. and was inducted into the New York State Basketball Hall of Fame in 2025.
